This budget amp was designed by Mike Soldano - of Soldano SLO-100 fame. There are some value differences and of course, cheaper construction and parts, but the core tone is very close making this one of the best bang-for-the-buck amps out there. I modded mine with additional switches for a few values in the circuit to tinker with the tone even further. Check out my video review for some samples of the great tones this amp is capable of.
