1992 ESP Maverick Deluxe
Details
I picked up this one from Guitar Center’s online used listings. They accidentally left the original papers which showed how much they paid out to the person who traded this in - I feel pretty bad for them. Their loss is my gain however, and this is a really fantastic guitar. It plays very similarly to my red one, and originally had factory pickups (SH-100 Power Rails and LH-200 Humbucker), but I replaced these with EMG’s to be similar to my other Maverick Deluxe. This one is equipped with an 85 in the bridge and two SA single coils, so a slightly different change of pace from the 81-X and SA-X in the other. To further differentiate these two guitars, this one is also strung with thicker strings and tuned down to D standard, so between these two guitars I can cover the vast majority of songs I like to play.
Construction is up to the usual high ESP standards and the figuring of the swamp ash body is gorgeous underneath the transparent blue glossy finish.
