1988 Charvel Model 2

Details

Snagged this one from a Guitar Center online listing, and I really lucked out. This guitar arrived in great condition with just a fine dust over the headstock and pickups - the kind of places that are telltale signs that this guitar sat in a closet for years and was only recently wiped off to be sold. The neck is in great shape and feels almost unplayed, although the factory Jackson J90C pickup has been replaced by an early 90s Seymour Duncan SH-12 Screamin’ Demon, so clearly it got some play time. It does have one chip through to the wood on the bottom just below the electronics cavity and what appears to be a small white paint spot on the upper horn, but it is otherwise very clean.

Hardware includes the factory Jackson JT-6 bridge as well as Jackson branded tuners. The serial number places this in 1987 and it has the behind-the-nut locking mechanism with the larger flat-head screw slots. Otherwise, it is dead simple with only a single pickup and volume control.
