1984 Kramer Focus 2000
Details
This gorgeous guitar has a neck and body made and assembled by ESP in Japan - the neck being pretty much identical to the necks being made (also by ESP) for USA/American series Pacers from the same period. This neck has a wonderful gloss lacquer finish and a capped style rosewood fingerboard and other than the headstock logo, Iād be hard pressed to find any differences between this and the Pacer necks.
Hardware is also similar to Pacers of the time, with an Original Floyd Rose - German made and all - but some costs were cut by using Japanese OEM pickups (likely made by Gotoh) and Gotoh made tuners during a time when Kramer USA was switching the Schaller made hardware on their models. It is also differentiated by a slightly different body shape, one less control knob, and a jack plate. Still, bang for buck, its hard to argue with and also no wonder these sold so well throughout the mid-80s.
